Lufkin Plant facilities start with the ability to unload flatbed and van trucks as well as bottom dump and boxcar railcars. The delivering railroad is the Angelina & Neches River Railroad that has connections to the UPRR and BN. Outbound freight can be loaded into trucks or railcars. The plant has a 28,000 square foot raw material warehouse and a new 30,000 square foot finished product warehouse.
Grinding, screening, blending, is accomplished via numerous pulverizing and hammer mills, ribbon and paddle blenders, shaker screens and packing equipment capable of bagging out 25 to 4000 pound bags. All production circuits are designed for easy cleanout to prevent contamination. Material balances are maintained through the use of digital and mechanical scales.
The Lufkin planthas the ability to palletize, shrinkwrap, stretchwrap, cap and band, or box palletized goods. Various sizes of empty valve bags and bulk bags are kept in stock for customer use. Export packaging and marking can also be provided. The Lufkin plantlaboratory is equipped with an Alpine Air Jet Screen Analyzer, Rotap Screen Analyzer, Sonic Sifter, moisture tester, lab balances, and glassware.
Houston Plant has the ability to receive materials from flatbed and van trucks. Our sister company, Superior Packaging & Distribution, is located on the same site and is served by the UPRR for inbound and outbound rail shipments. The Houston Plantis located near the Port of Houston and UPRR container yard. The plant has approximately 60,000 square feet of warehouse space for finished and raw goods.
The Houston Plant focuses on blending and bagging of dry powders through the use of several ribbon blender circuits that are separated by color of powder being blended. Liquids can also be sprayed onto powders during the blending process. For reclamation or reworking of hardened or damaged material, delumping and screening is available in a newly installed production line. Finished products can be packaged in bags ranging from 2 pound bags to 4000 pound bulk bags. Stocks of valve type bags are on hand for customer use.
The Houston plant has the ability to palletize, shrinkwrap, stretchwrap, cap and band, or box palletized goods. Various sizes of valve bags are kept in stock for customer use. Export packaging and marking can also be provided. A complete laboratory for quality control and product development is on site.
The Reliable Equipment Plant is a complete fabrication shop focusing mainly on material handling equipment fabrication and repair. The plant has the following capabilities: stick and wire welding, sheet metal shearing and bending, steel rolling, machine work,dimension fabrication, and electrical motor control wiring and motor rebuilding.
Also located at the Reliable Equipment plant site is our Pelletizing operation. This production facility is capable of handling incoming raw material in valve bags or bulk bags. Blenders are available to prepare blends prior to pelletization. Pellets can be produced from 0.125 to 0.75 inch diameter and packed out in valve, open mouth, or bulk bags. Product development work is available to help customers formulate pellets for specific applications.
